I said yes to the dress!

Its official – I HAVE MY DRESS!

I managed to find my dress on my first shopping trip in my first shop! I had planned to go shopping with lots of people on lots of trips to really make the most of the one and only time I can try on the beautiful dresses but when you find the one, you find the one. I had my sister (and maid of honour), my mum and my Nanan with me and it was such an amazing afternoon. I managed to fall in love with the most expensive dress in the shop at double my budget. Oops!

I went in to the shop with a very clear idea of what I did and didn’t want and came out with the complete opposite! I fell in love with a beautiful gown and knew it was the one the moment it was on. There was no mirror in the changing room which was a little weird at first but it was lovely to see it for the first time alongside my family.

I tried a range of dresses on from short to long, fishtail, ballgown, satin, lace … I loved more than one and we had to shortlist our favourites. You’ve got to be brutal with your decisions and if it doesn’t give you butterflies then put it back. It might be the first one you try on or it may take you months to find the perfect fit for you!

Just revel in the moment and enjoy every minute!
