It's time to share my step-by-step process of my table transformation!
I'd seen these tables - from Lidl - on various Instagram accounts and had completely fallen in love; they were a bargain at £29.99 so I couldn't resist. I decided to switch them up so they fit with our grey-copper-blush colour scheme in the living room.
Before

After

What to do:
1. I decided to spray the caged part of the table copper. I used Valspar spray paint which is best used in a few light layers and is touch dry in less than half an hour - speedy!

2. Once your base is dry (I left it over night just to be sure) it was time to seal it. You don't need to seal your spray paint but it may scratch. I used Wilko lacquer, again in a few light layers and allowed this to dry in a few hours.

3. Now your base it complete - how easy was that?! - Its time to transform the tops. I used a vinyl from Wilko which you just peel and stick. Firstly, draw around the top of your table and cut it out.
Top tip - Be patient and take your time, if you rush it'll just look messy.

4. Peel the back off the vinyl and stick it to the top. I found it easier to peel the back off completely and place the table top on. Make sure you push out all of the air bubbles! Then its time to trim any excess off the edge. Carefully.

5. Its time to do your edge - it's fiddly! I cut 1 cm strips of vinyl and slowly stuck it along the edge of the table. I placed the piece on a pan (technical I know) just to I could spin it round as I was sticking.

6. You're all done! I love that you can remove the tops of these for extra storage! I'll write below where I got my resources from.
