We did it. We bloody did it. We’re married.

28th July 2017 was the best day of my life.

There’s so much to say and so much to share that I can’t do it in one blog because we’ll be here all day and my fingers will ache from typing. So I thought I’d share my feelings first then over the next few weeks/months inundate you with wedding related blog posts … Sorry in advance.

I got married on Friday, FRIDAY; and I wanted to write this while I was still firmly on cloud nine and completely and wholly in my blissful bubble. Jack’s just popped out so I thought it the perfect time to write my uncontrollable feelings down, p.s I’m half a bottle of prosecco down and completely sleep deprived so this may not make total sense.

This past week I have cried every day. Every damn day. Why? I don’t know, but I have. Hormones, emotions, stress, love … I’ve cried. I think I’ve cried so much I cried all my tears out because on the day, I held it together. I wish the same could be said about our family and friends … a wash out. A complete and utter wash out, hysteria all round. All I felt was excitement and pure joy. I had a moment of nerves as I got to the aisle, but a deep breaths and a “you’ve got this” to myself and I was fine. My dad cried all the way through, as did my mum, and the majority of my family and friends! It was so beautiful to see how much our love made our loved ones happy. Even Jack shed a little tear when he saw me! We had the most perfect ceremony with a beautiful balance of love, praise, humour and sincerity.

Then we headed to the reception! It looked perfect, absolutely perfect (just wait until you see the photos, you’re gonna die). We drank and we drank and we drank some more (some more than others … Jack Studholme …) and we had the time of our lives. The speeches were some of the best speeches we’d ever heard and they had people crying and laughing in equal measure. The food was divine and the drinks were flowing for all.

The music started and we danced the night away. I said before our wedding that I wanted to dance all night long with every single guest, and I managed to do just that. Dance off after dance off, spin after spin, we loved every minute.

And now?

We’re home, presents opened, wedding dress in a heap on the floor and truly but blissfully exhausted.

The best day of our lives. Ever.

We’d like to thank EVERYONE who made it as perfect.

And I promise I will share more details and more photos in the weeks and months to come … but for now, it’s time to enjoy my life as a wife, prosecco in hand and a smile on my face.
