We stayed on Gili T so my suggestions are mainly from there, however there is a spot further down for those of you venturing to the other islands -
Le Petit Gili - Right next to the night market this gem is open 24/7. The staff were adorable and the food was great too! I had the most delicious burrito and Jack had a hot dog as big as his head with drinks, all for less than a tenner.
Kayu Cafe - So good we went there twice. They offer kombuca tea, a vast array of speciality coffees and specialise in health food. They had smoothie bowls and rice bowls which were absolutely delicious. A clean eating haven.
Ikan - Sat of the beach on a bamboo sofa we enjoyed this healthy restaurant. Super fresh and delicious we had falafel and dips - humours, tabbuleh and tzatiki followed by a burger and and a marinated chicken wrap with homemade wedges. One or our favourites.
Gili Frame - Off the beaten track, you'll stumble on this while you're exploring the island. Our food was delicious and we had a Nasi Goreng, Katsu curry, 2 Diet Coke and a large water for £4 cheapest meal yet.
Mala Garden- to the West of the island where the sunsets, it was more expensive than others but one of the best meals I ate in Bali. Tuna steak with homemade pesto, potato gratin and veg whilst Jack had chicken. We had 2 large wines, 2 beers, 2 starters and 2 mains for £30; so when I say expensive - not really.
The Roast House - I'd spotted this bad boy on Trip Advisor (of course) and by God it did not disappoint. Spit roast chicken with veggies and gravy - maybe not what you think to eat on a sunny day but trust me. It's lush.
Gili Meno - YaYa Warung - a beach bar with stunning scenery and delicious food to boot. I enjoyed the seafood Nasi Goreng and a fresh coconut, living the dream.
The Gili's cater for the masses. They have a great mix of Western food, Indonesian delights and an abundance of beach BBQs. Eat the seafood, you won't find fresher & enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner with the sand between your toes.
